Amazing, isn’t it? Ralph Lauren can now be credited with crafting two of this year’s most stunning wedding gowns. The first, for daughter Dylan, was a silk tulle-and-duchess satin dress
with the mermaid hem. (Notably not strapless.) And now this.
It took Ralph Lauren plus a team of 100 over 3,000 hours to create this Victorian-esque masterpiece. Said the bride, “It was like a dream come true. We sat together and arrived at this silhouette. It isn’t Victorian exactly. I wanted something modern as well, so there is the high-necked collar and puffed shoulders with the large open back.”
The couple tied the knot in late September at the groom’s family’s 17,000-acre Double RL ranch in Ridgway, Colorado. Guests were served steaks straight from the ranch, and both the bride and her bridal party all donned cowboy boots. A honeymoon in Italy followed and now, finally, their official wedding portrait can be admired in the December issue of Vogue.
