Katie and Kyle dated for five years, two of them long distance, before tying the knot in San Clemente this past summer. But as we all know, it’s not the location that creates a memorable military wedding, it’s the uniform zorb ball. The groom looked his best in his United States Marine Corps Officer Dress Blues uniform, a look that can’t be outdone by even the most stylish black tuxedo. Meanwhile, Katie stole the spotlight, as every bride should, in a knockout strapless wedding gown. As a handmade touch, the bride’s mother-in-law crafted a beaded crystal belt that took this popular Pronovias gown from pretty to positively unforgettable. Just look.

The couple’s reception was a tropical-themed party infused with lighthearted elements like coconuts and a bright blue ping pong table, but at the heart of the it all was a lot of sentiment and faith. The church where Katie and Kyle were married was the same church where Katie’s grandparents said their “I do’s” a little more than 50 years ago. The reception site, Casa Romantica, was located a stone’s throw away from the groom’s family vacation home and held countless memories as a result.Inflatable Pool

Katie’s bridal party looked so polished in blue J.Crew bridesmaid dresses. The rhinestone detail on the bride’s hand tied bouquet paired with her sparkling hair accessory added just the right amount of elegance to the wedding’s

tropical theme. Katie wore two veils on her wedding day, one cathedral length and one chic birdcage. Before the night was over, Katie and Kyle changed into more casual attire for their grand departure from the reception.

I love the bling on the shoes and dress. And the shade of blue on the bridesmaids’ dresses is just lovely.
