Maike & Lars have been together for years, and last year they welcomed a baby into their lives. For them, much more so than getting married, starting a family was the way to feel united. Still, they wanted a way to
make their union official. So cheap car insurance instead of making their lives even more chaotic, they simply decided to elope.
On a beautiful day in early September, the couple and their little man traveled to the oh-so beautiful and tiny island of Amrum in the northern sea of Germany, close to Denmark. The bride had her hair done by the only hairdresser on the island, and slipped on a splendid knee-length silver dress. After a ceremony at City Hall, the newly married pair scooped up their only wedding guest and headed to the beach to relax and enjoy some quiet family time.
The day was exactly what they had in mind–a beautiful, sunny family day, über relax and non-complicated.

I love the idea of elopement, but I think I would have missed having my family and friends around me when I got married.
