We’re sticking our stylish noses back in the book today with another creative library wedding, this time photographed by Paige Winn Photo. Laurie and Craig were married at Bond Chapel at the University of Chicago. A reception at the Newberry Library followed. The bride is a librarian, so the setting was a perfect fit.
Speaking of perfect fits, we’re smitten with Laurie’s fit-to-flare silhouette of her Bridals by Marisa wedding gown. This clean and classic shape may not be what one would expect from a shy bookworm, but clearly this bride is cut from a different cloth. Laurie wanted her wedding to have a “a DIY – library – old school glam feel” which meant when it came to her veil, only a chic little birdcage number by Twigs & Honey would do. The other accessories, however, were vintage. The brooch on Laurie’s belt and the rings on her right hand were from her grandmother, while her earring were a thrift market
score.
Craig’s tux was by Calvin Klein and his groomsmen mixed it up with some green and black striped socks.

The library building is gorgeous! What a perfect backdrop for their photos. I also really like the picture of all the men showing their green striped socks!
