Wes and Amanda had a classic black and white wedding which began at the Mansion on Delaware Avenue, an elegant hotel located in the bride’s hometown of Buffalo, New York. The couple, who currently live in Texas, planned their Memorial Day weekend from afar. But it seems distance has been a reoccuring theme throughout their courtship. Wes and Amanda ARE graduateS of the United States Military Academy at West Point and, together with their groomsmen, spent several months deployed in Kuwait.
No matter how many times I write about a couple who served in the military, I always get choked up. It doesn’t help my emotional state to gaze at the couple’s wedding photos for hours on end, which is what I did when Mary Dougherty graciously sent them over.
She too fell for Wes and Amanda, an effortlessly beautiful couple whose wedding was all class.
The bride wore silver Badgley Mischka bow pumps with a beaded strapless wedding gown and cathedral length veil. Her bridal party wore strapless, knee-skimming black dresses paired with black heels. The groomsmen and the groom picked white bow ties to match their white paisley vests worn with jet black tuxedos.
Amanda’s silver Badgley Mischka shoes inspired this afternoon’s post about wedding shoes with bows. Stay tuned!
