a lavender wedding designed by jm visuals

I’m thrilled to present the work of Perfect Bound sponsor, JM Visuals. Jeffrey Marcus, principle designer at JM Visuals, sent over this lavender-infused wedding celebration, complete with fiddlehead firms, grosgrain ribbon and of course, lavender roses. Jeffrey’s work is known for being modern and romantic, and color always plays a key role in his floral creations.

The enchanting wedding was held last Saturday at the Capitale in New York City. The bride’s favorite color, lavender, was the primary source of inspiration and spotlight color of the night.

The entire wedding was abloom with lavender florals.  The flower girls carried a custom made paper cone with grossgrain ribbon with rose petals sprinkled during the ceremony.  The men in the bridal party wore elegant fiddlehead ferns with a perfect single white dendrobium orchid.  The bridesmaids carried a bouquet of lysianthus  and lavender roses.  The bride carried a romantic bouquet of lavender lysianthus with a matching hue of grossgrain ribbon.

The bar was abloom with green spider mum floral arrangements, alongside a tableau of glass cylinder vases of varying height with floating candles.  Contemporary arrangements of wheatgrass were used throughout the cocktail area.  The focal point was a pair of large boxwood topiaries on a bed of wheatgrass escort table.  The bridal silhouette topiary–that’s right, I said bridal silhouette topiary!–was adorned by a ribboned lavender rose accent.

The floating chuppah used for the ceremony was a halo of  white hydrangeas and delicate garlands of sweet pea echoing the grand interiors of Capitale featuring tall Corinthian columns, beautifully decorated covered ceiling and an art glass skylight!  Jeffrey chose the perfect lucite candelabras and customized them with white hydrangeas to complete the romantic and contemporary wedding ceremony.

During the wedding banquet, guests were greeted by tall arrangements of lavender hydrangeas, Blue Curiosa roses and Allure roses that seem to float within the space.  A similar low arrangement was used for the other tables using silver Tiffany bowls.

Special thanks to Jeffrey Marcus for sharing this romantic wedding celebration with us!
