Last week I had the opportunity to attend a special presentation hosted by Net-A-Porter to celebrate the launch of their exclusive Wedding Boutique. Sasha Sorokin, Senior Buyer of Ready-to-Wear, was on hand to walk us through standout items by Vivienne Westwood, Lanvin, Temperley London and Philip Treacy, whose sculptural bow and headpiece is pictured above. For brides who’d rather shop the runway than sit in a dressing room, the Wedding Boutique is a dream come true.
Shopping for your wedding gown on line has it’s disadvantages, of course. You may mouse click your way to a shopping cart filled with more than one gown! Not to worry. All items are returnable within 14 days of receiving your order and some, like this Melissa Odabash Amerie crochet dress, are under $300. Pictured above, from left: Bottega Veneta’s cream silk and linen-blend asymmetric louche-fit dress with a delicate ruffled short sleeves, $1280; Temperley London’s delicate floral embroidered ivory lace gown, $8,995; and Rick Owens’ white sheer silk playsuit, $1,600.
All items in the Wedding Boutique have been hand selected, with several designer exclusives. In addition to gowns, accessories, veil and honeymoon essentials are also available. Shoes, like these Camilla Skovgaard sculptural white crocodile pattern leather cutout sandals (pictured below) abound. Other personal favorites include Fendi’s cream silk-chiffon gown with delicate ruffle detailing, Dolce & Gabbana’s champagne silk-satin pencil skirt, and Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic ivory chiffon tuxedo with satin trimmed lapels. Hey, I am on a wild goose hunt….for a picture I randomly found on line. Perfect Bound was referenced. The picture is of bridesmaid dresses I really want for my wedding, but unfortunately the picture is small with no reference to style or designer. The picture is at; http://wedding.blogdig.net/archives/articles/July2007/31/NY_Magazine_searching_for_bridesmaids.html
I really want the grey/green dresses in the top left hand corner on the girls with the colorful parasols.
I would really appreciate any advice on how to get a larger picture, or a name of the designer/dress.
I'm not even sure how to use blog's, so an email to tashdewet@gmail.com would be great too
