inspired by the gown: an elegant eyelet wedding

I’m so excited to welcome Tara Guérard of Tara Guérard Soirée to Perfect Bound. Tara is a South Carolina and New York-based wedding planner and author of the new book, Weddings by Tara Guérard. The book is filled with real weddings, ideas and inspiration designed by Tara and photographed by the talented Liz Bafield. Tara was kind enough to send over a sneak peak of one of the twelve real weddings featured in her book. This wedding in particular is perfect for Perfect Bound, as the details are all inspired by the bride’s Southern sense of style and her gorgeous eyelet gown.

Tara explains, “Our bride, Elizabeth, purchased the most stunning Carolina Herrera silk taffeta eyelet gown and veil which we used as the décor inspiration for her wedding. From the cake to invitations, dinner plates to the linens and lamps, we used the eyelet patterns to mimic her gorgeous gown.  It was a fun way to pull the dress design into the décor elements!

I love how the cutout details on the bride’s gown served as the inspiration behind all of the delicate details that make this wedding both personal and stylish. All this week I’ll be featuring more awe-inspiring gowns with certain details that are significant enough to inspire an entire wedding. I dug up these Eyelet Paper Lanterns from Luna Bazaar and Eyelet Stationary by Martha Stewart if you want to incorporate these and more eyelet details into your own wedding.

How pretty! I love the soft blue and white, paired with the eyelet theme! If this doesn't scream southern chic, I don't know what does! :)
