hippie headbands

Ever so elegant, Jennifer Behr is at it again with a new line of jeweled headbands and hair accessories that make me long for long spring dresses and flowing tresses. Jennifer’s delicate veils have more than made the rounds and gathered quite an impressive fan base due to their mix of modernity and femininity.Produced by hand in her studio in Brooklyn, designer Jennifer Behr details each of her headpieces with inspiration from vintage couture handwork. Many of Jennifer’s brides are sophisticated fashion and design customers searching for an alternative to the staid veil and tiara combo. It is any wonder that Hollywood has fallen for her flawless style as well? Pair a Jennifer Behr headpiece with a floral Angel Sanchez gown or strapless Christos creation and you have yourself a lasting look. For more of that Mother Earth power, channel your inner hippie like Leticia Dolera did. Below, Kiera Knightly goes glam with a band diamonds and Zac Posen is such a stud when it comes to his use of accessories. Jennifer Behr knotted crystal and chain headwrap featured at top. This is Jennifer’s favorite piece this season and therefore a very limited edition.

Part hippie, part fairy tale goddess, Jennifer’s headwraps and headbands are a stylish alternative to a traditional veil or (gasp) tiara. Crafted with the finest materials like Swarovski crystals hand-stitched to silk chiffon, Jennifer Behr’s work is worth the spotlight but shines on its own. Below, encrusted crystals on silk chiffon headwrap is designed so that the chiffon edges fray with wear. Flower child Mischa Barton looks good in most anything but especially chic when wearing a vine of jewels around her forehead. Natalie Portman wears Lanvin and a headband at the Oscars. Scarlett Johansson wears a style similar to Jennifer Behr’s 1920s bandeaux with antique crystals. Even Paris gets in on the action and I have to admit, looks oh so pretty.

These headbands look gorgeous! I’m always so afraid to try them with anything other than jeans and a flowy top, but I will have to take more risks after seeing these photos :)

I love these. I have been mustering the courage to rock one across my forehead, rather than far back on my head…

So so pretty! I’ve been waiting for a chance to wear something like this for a while—not exactly grocery store attire! Maybe I should throw a party simply for the excuse of wearing one!
