sweet moment leftovers

Welcome back from the holidays everyone! I hope they were every bit as rich and warm as the fruitcake! Before we ring in the New Year, I wanted to share some final little moments from our big day. Thanks for all your sweet comments and emails. I loved putting together all the details and sharing the process with you all along the way.

From top: 1. Cookies from Del Prete Italian Pastry kept us happy while getting ready. 2. Terry cloth flip flops were a gift and something soft to slip into before and after the wedding. 3. Beading on my mother’s gown. One of my bridesmaids custom designed earrings for the bridal party. Her Etsy shop, Abbylove, is a favorite. 4. My bouquet was inspired by this photo of green and white Lady’s Slipper orchids and accented with an antique brooch found at this Etsy shop. Boutonnieres were made from a single white gardenia. 5. The groomsmen decided against boutonniers all together and opted instead for black and white Chuck Taylor Converse.

6. Stacks of Cavallini & Co. postcards served as our guestbook and were used as table numbers as well. The postcard theme was carried through from our invitations.7. Wall lighting was brought in to cast a warm glow while dozen of tiny tea lights lit up the tables. 8. Centerpieces were arranged in antique urns and inspired by this Martha Stewart arrangement. 9. Vintage postage stamps purchased in bulk on Ebay were used to decorate place cards and table numbers. Rubber stamps from Cavallini & Co. added a vintage touch. 10. A tall arrangement made from dark purple hydrangea and wine colored amaranthus flowers decorated the place card table.
11. Mother of pearl beading on my dress and a handmade silk paisley clutch from Cady Briar. 12. The sweetheart table was decorated simply with bridesmaids bouquets and candles. Ivory pintuck table linens were an upgrade but well worth it. 13. Friends and family including Vane and Erica are the best accessories of them all!

Thanks for all your sweet comments. The stamps and the placecards came together so well, I was amazed! They were super easy to make. If I would have thought about it sooner, I could have letterpressed a few different post card templates. That would have been wild, no?!
